We can offer advice to people who are detained under immigration powers. This means that anyone who is currently serving a criminal sentence must wait until they have completed the sentence before we can assist. Once the criminal sentence has been served and someone is being detained under immigration powers we may be in a position to help.
Before we can assess whether we can assist a person we need them to complete one of our prison referral packs. We send these packs out to those prisoners or their family or friends who contact us directly. Alternatively, the three forms can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Please ensure you read the guidance notes before filling out these forms.
Once you return the forms to us we will contact you to inform you whether or not we can assist with your case.
We can visit vulnerable people who cannot travel to the office to be seen. If you are in this situation then you or your support worker should ring the office. Once we have taken your details we will discuss your situation and let you know whether we can visit and how to make the necessary arrangements.
