Immigration Aid Manchester
Independent legal advice & representation from the
Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit
Our Funders.....

Most of our income comes from the Legal Services Commission for
the cases we taken on.  We also receive substantial grants from
Manchester City Council and Tameside Council.

However, we receive many smaller grants and income from other
organisations which help us with unfunded legal work.  In 2006/7
we received money from:

The John Davies Grant Trust (£4,000)

Operation Fundraiser (£4,000)

Churches' Together For Racial Justice (£1,500)

The Metropolitan Community Church of Manchester (£900)

Healthsure (£500)

The Servite Sisters (£1,000)

Steve Jachim (sponsorship for a fun run £500)

Clients, at the end of their cases, often make a gift as a way of
saying thank you.
“During my
case I have
been struggling
with all sorts of
solicitors but no
one was paying
attention to my
case.  It
suffered a lot.
At GMIAU my
case has been
handled
responsibly.
There should
be more
advertising of
GMIAU.”
